What sort of mum is Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) going to be throughout the series?
Scott: “One of the great dynamics that really helps us is that Erica is accused by her son of never being there. Because she’s an FBI agent in the terrorism division, if the phone rings at three o’clock in the morning, she has to be there. If it’s the afternoon and they’re doing something, she’s gotta drop it and go. Now, in addition to that, she needs to fall into one of the leadership roles of leading the resistance. So she’s gonna be struggling to find ways of keeping her son safe and making sure everything’s OK with him while still being pulled in even bigger directions. So it’s going to be a struggle for her to try and keep that relationship viable.”

UPDATE: I’ve just noticed that on her blog she posted a report of her meeting. It’s a bit spoilering about the episode of V they were shooting, but it’s nice what she wrote about Elizabeth.
So EM takes off her black jacket and gets ready to head to lunch, she walks towards where we are standing, I approach her calmly “hi Elisabeth?” she goes “hi” and gives us a lovely welcoming smile! I tell her I am a big Lost fan, and that Juliet is one of my face characters on Lost, which is true! I ask her for an autograph and a picture and she just goes “aww thanks, of course you can have that!”. Keep Reading!
A lucky lucky fan met Elizabeth in Vancouver. She posted a photo with her and Liz on her twitter. Here you can find also the autograph! 🙂

The Visitors are coming back this fall as a mid-season replacement on ABC. This new series is a “re-imagining” of the original mini-series V, which ran on NBC back in 1983.
For those of you too young to remember it, V was a 2-part, made for TV movie, which starred Marc Singer (Beastmaster), Faye Grant (Greatest American Hero), Jane Badler (One Life to Live), and Robert Englund (Nightmare On Elm Street). The mini-series boasted some impressive special effects, which were created by effects master John Dykstra (Star Wars). The TV movie opened with several large ships entering Earth’s atmosphere and hovering over several major cities across the world. Referred to as the Visitors, by earth’s press, key representatives from the visiting alien’s mothership arrive at the UN and state that they are here peacefully and need certain minerals and chemicals from Earth. In exchange, the visitors will aid humans with growing food more efficiently, promise to share their advanced technology, and to cure disease. The UN agrees to aid the Visitors, and soon the aliens begin to gain more and more control and influence.

ABC ANNOUNCES THE PREMIERE OF THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW SERIES “V” ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3
ABC announces the premiere of the highly anticipated new series “V,” on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT).
“V” is a re-imagining of the 1980s miniseries about the world’s first encounter with an alien race. Simultaneously appearing over every major city in the world, the Visitors (or V’s) promote a message of peace. Through their generous offer to share advanced technology, the V’s build a following that may actually hide a more malevolent agenda, one that twists a very deep component of human nature — devotion.
While the world quickly becomes fascinated with the V’s and their link to wonders just beyond the reach of human understanding, FBI Counter Terrorist Agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell) discovers a secret hidden beneath the skin of every V – a secret that may threaten the lives of everyone close to her. Yet for her teenage son, Tyler (Logan Huffman), the V’s are his ticket to something big and hopeful-a new chance for mankind to unite in common goals. To Chad Decker (Scott Wolf), a career-hungry news anchor, his exclusive interview with Anna (Morena Baccarin), the leader of the V’s, is crucial to his dominating the airwaves. Also unsure about the Visitors is Father Jack (Joel Gretsch), a priest questioning his faith in the wake of the Visitors’ arrival. Seeking answers outside the church, Father Jack discovers there are other dissidents who believe the Visitors are not who they say they are, including Ryan Nichols (Morris Chestnut), who is faced with his own life-altering decision when the V’s show up. Never has there been more at stake — it truly is the dawning of a new day.
1x01 Pilot - Elizabeth Mitchell - Erica Evans - V - V Spoilers
The much anticipated remake of the classic sci-fi television miniseries “V” arrived at Comic-Con International in San Diego on Saturday. Ballroom 20 was packed 4700 strong for a special viewing of the pilot episode, followed by a short question and answer session with the cast and executives.
“Where were you when JFK was shot? Where were you on 9/11? Where were you this morning?” asks the voiceover kicking off the pilot, evoking a tone of impending, historic-level doom. Each one of the main characters is introduced through short vignettes, wherein their ordinary lives are interrupted by what seems to be a rather long earthquake.
Tyler Evans (played by Logan Huffman), a teenager, is seen getting in trouble with his mother, Erica Evans (played by Elizabeth Mitchell, from “Lost”), for staying out late at a party and getting in a fight.
