Mitchell Peels Back the Mystery Surrounding Tonight’s V Finale | DVR Playground Interview

On tonight’s second season finale of V, the Fifth Column will have a solid sixty minutes to fight for our planet’s future. And while forty-four minutes (subtracting for commercials!) of screen time wouldn’t normally seem like enough time for a ragtag group of freedom fighters to stave off whatever nefarious plan a royally peeved Queen “B” Anna has up her sleeve, Erica Evans is no normal freedom fighter. How’s she going to do it, what unexpected obstacles arise and of course is this the end of the line for V? We caught up with the always awesome Elizabeth Mitchell to find out.

Are you really up for saving the world in less than hour?
Elizabeth Mitchell: It’s going to be tough. Luckily there is a lot in that hour, we do get a lot accomplished! But I definitely think we need a third season to completely and completely save the earth in the fashion in which it deserves.

ELIZABETH MITCHELL ENTERING THE “V” HOMESTRETCH WITH MARC SINGER AND A HUGE SEASON FINALE …BUT WILL THE SERIES RETURN?

The finale of V airs tonight (9:00 p.m. ET/PT, ABC) and there is a whopper of a cliffhanger planned according to series star, Elizabeth Mitchell.

“People are dying and people are coming back,” she admits, but adds that she won’t be coughing up the fate of those characters are before it airs. “It’s always fun to be surprised. It’ll be fun.”

Mitchell plays agent Erica Evans on V and prior to that, the actress starred as Juliet Burke on Lost. So, she’s been poked and prodded plenty for information on shows that rely on secrecy – and she’s quite good a dodging the questions.

“It’s always good to see how they’re going to wrap up the season,” she points out. “You know, what comes to an end, what’s going to happen. You also know they have to make it bigger…twice as big…twice as dramatic.”

For one, the episode reportedly features the best look at the Visitors’ true lizard-alien form that we’ve seen to date. As for the rest, let me quote an inside source: “Now THAT’S how you kill an annoying character!” Now who could said person be referring to…?

Elizabeth Mitchell Previews the V Season Finale | TV Line Interview

By Matt Webb Mitovich

This week on ABC’s V (Tuesday at 9/8c), more than ever it is time for the Fifth Column to put up or shut up, lest Anna deploy her plan to use the Concordia sites as landing pads for the Visitor ships, and in turn round up the Earth women to breed some hybrids. TVLine invited Elizabeth Mitchell to give us a taste of what to expect from the season finale, reflect on Erica’s libidinous liaison, get caught up on a Lost love, and ponder V’s future.

TVLINE | When last we tuned in, the Visitors had 500-plus ships orbiting Earth. So… what’s the plan to fend them all off?
I know, it’s going to be tough! But thank goodness we have Erica Evans.

TVLINE | She has become very, very badass in recent weeks.
She really has, mentally and physically, and that’s been so much fun! Plus I get to have tons and tons of [bruise and cut makeup] all over my face, which you know I love.

Going Dark Will Come Back to Bite Erica in the Finale | TV Guide Interview

It might contains spoilers.

Mar 14, 2011 09:54 PM ET
by Natalie Abrams

As ABC’s alien-invasion drama V prepares for a showdown between humans and Visitors, Elizabeth Mitchell tells TVGuide.com that her character’s ruthless and cold decisions as leader of the Fifth Column during Season 2 could be her undoing in the finale.

The 40-year-old Lost alum dishes on the season ender, which includes a faux kidnapping and an appearance by an original V freedom fighter. Perhaps more importantly, Mitchell also addresses the potential for a third-season renewal and discusses whether or not fans will be satisfied with what the show delivers should it not return.

Erica has been turning very dark and ruthless this season. How much is that going to get her in trouble in the season finale?
Elizabeth Mitchell:
Quite a lot. It’s going to come back to bite her pretty hard. I feel like the learning curve for her as a leader has been pretty big. She’s a much better leader now but she still has to have a little bit of a low for at least some of it. She’s pretty vicious now, which is fun, but it’s not something everybody would incorporate.

411 Interview with Elizabeth

It might contains spoilers.

411’s Al Norton sits down for an exclusive interview with V star Elizabeth Mitchell to discuss tonight’s season finale, the best ways for fans to help get the show a third season, and working with Josh Holloway on Lost.
Elizabeth Mitchell first came to the public’s attention via the HBO movie Gia and her role on ER, and from then hit the bring screen The Santa Clause 2 and 3, but it was her role as Juliet on Lost that launched her to the next level, a performance that earned her an Emmy nomination during the show’s last season. She can currently be seen starring on ABC’s V, which airs its second season finale tonight at 9pm.

Al Norton: I was nervous about setting this interview up because we talked once before back in 2008 and the very next day the newspaper I was working for went out of business.

Elizabeth Mitchell: Oh no! I hope I’m not a jinx. I’m going to be good…something great is going to happen to you tomorrow, I promise.
