“Right then, the ‘Lost’ finale” | Review

And fade to…. white!

By now we’re all used to scratching our heads every time Lost reaches its season finale – but how about that for a cliffhanger?!

Everything seemed to be happening as it should – the past was rolling out as it ‘first’ happened, with the Losties seemingly unable to change anything. But then a heavily injured Juliet took a stone to the bomb and – BOOM!

What could this mean? Maybe they have succeeded in changing the past – Oceanic 815 never crashed on the island and everyone went about their happy lives as normal.

Hmm. But if they never crashed on the island, how were they able to go back in time and ensure that they never did crash in the first place? Isn’t that a paradox?

As for Juliet, all the signs point to her being dead when the sixth season begins. If being hurled down the pit and then blown up wasn’t enough, actress Elizabeth Mitchell has joined the cast of the new version of V, which has been picked up for (an albeit limited) run next season.

ABC has ordered “V”

According to EW.com’s Michael Ausiello, ABC has ordered the new version of V as a series. A remake of the 1980s miniseries (and short lived ongoing series), the new V comes from The 4400’s creator Scott Peters, and includes Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), Scott Wolf (Go), Joel Gretsch (The 4400), Alan Tudyk (Firefly), Morena Baccarin (Firefly) and Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) among the cast, in the update of a story about alien “visitors” arriving on Earth, where they attempt to hide their true intentions from the population.

Ausiello notes that ABC is only ordering only six episodes for the show’s first season – It’s been assumed the show may air midseason. However, a conflicting report at Nikki Finke’s deadlinehollywooddaily.com says Warner Bros, who are producing V, have rejected the small episode order. We’ll keep you updated as news comes in.

“V” Press Release

Today, the world woke up to find spaceships over every major city. The Visitors claim to have come in peace, bringing gifts of medical miracles and technological breakthroughs. They promise to do no harm. They’re lying. Most people believe the aliens have arrived just when we needed them most. We’re eager to embrace their generous offers of help, but while tracking a terrorist cell, Homeland Security agent Erica Evans stumbles upon something far more sinister. When her partner tries to kill her, Erica discovers that the aliens have plans to infiltrate our governments and businesses, planting seeds for their plot to control mankind. Convincing anyone of the truth will be impossible because the Visitors have two powerful weapons. First, they’ve given the people faith with their reassuring presence and gifts. Second, they’ve rallied our youth. Thousands of teens, including Erica’s son, have been recruited as ‘Peace Ambassadors’ but they’re actually serving as unwitting spies. Erica’s violent introduction to the truth thrusts her into the resistance movement, where she joins forces with Ryan, a rogue alien driven to save humanity. She’ll have to balance her covert activities with her job, and her role as a mother, fighting to protect her son Tyler even as he joins forces with the enemy. From executive producer Scott Peters, Emmy-nominated creator of The 4400, comes a bold re-imagining of the sci-fi classic. Let the invasion begin.

Cast: Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans; Joel Gretsch as Father Jack Lowery; Scott Wolf as Chad Decker; Logan Huffman as Tyler Evans; Morris Chestnut as Ryan Nichols; Morena Baccarin as Anna.

Visitors update

On imdb they report Liz plays Erica Evans.

VISITORSITE updated the cast’s page with this info:

Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans

Even though some news sources are claiming that Elizabeth Mitchell will only be a guest star, the role of homeland security agent Erica Evans is a huge role for the series and could mean the end of her run on LOST as Juliet.

Erica Evans will not only face a new mystery with the Visitors – her son, Tyler, might become involved with them, much like Daniel Bernstein did in the original series. Stay tuned…

I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean for Juliet’s fate! What do you think?

Maybe A Good News? From Buddy TV: She’s A Guest Star

V has been picking up steam in recent days, with Lost’s Elizabeth Mitchell joining the pilot in a guest starring capacity (this according to the Alphabet Network, which also produces Lost.) Morena Baccarin (Firefly) will play the lead Visitor. The pilot has not officially been picked up yet. The networks typically announce their Fall lineups later in the spring.

I hope this is true!!!

Changed into a guest star… is it true?

WBTV’s “V,” a re-imagining of the 1980s miniseries about an invasion of aliens known as Visitors, centers on Erica (guest star Elizabeth Mitchell), a female Homeland Security agent. Benedicto, repped by APA and McGowan Management, will play a love interest for Erica’s boyfriend (Morris Chestnut).

Hollywood Reporter

Her name is always in the news. They say as guest star now, but Erica is still a main role on V. So did Hollywood Reporter change it because ABC asked to or don’t they know if Elizabeth will play Erica? I’ve read that the site www.visitorsite.net has reliable sources. I don’t know if it’s true or not.
I was reading this board. Someone there claimed that Liz is leaving LOST.
Once again I don’t know if it’s true. I sure hope not, but the fact that there isn’t any statement by ABC or Elizabeth, makes me think that it’s true and this news wasn’t supposed to come out because we know now that Juliet won’t be in season 6.

I still hope for a denial. 🙁
