Can we say a prayer for V now? Already hobbled by a repeat of No Ordinary Family as the lead-in, the drama’s second season finale only posted a 1.8/5 in 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers. That’s up 6 percent from last week, but down 14 percent from last year’s finale on May 18.  The writing is on the wall for this series (for more, check out our scorecard here), but it’s always a shame when high-concept projects like this one seem destined for the junk pile. And V’s performance spelled more bad news for Detroit 1-8-7

Season Finale of ABC’s “V” is No. 1 in its Time Slot in Men 18-49, Drawing its Biggest Audience in 4 Weeks and Highest Men 18-49 Number Since January
“V” (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
The 2nd season finale of ABC’s “V” posted gains over the prior week in all key Adult and Men demos, attracting the show’s largest overall audience (5.3 million) and its highest Men 18-34 (1.2/4) and Men 25-54 (2.4/6) numbers in 4 weeks – since 2/15/11. Further, “V” matched its highest rating in Men 18-49 (2.0/6) since mid-January – since 1/18/11.
• The ABC drama ranked No. 1 in the 9 o’clock hour in Men 18-49 (tie), standing as the No. 2 TV show on Tuesday (tie).
