REVOLUTION News: New trailer, reviews, photos and more

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I got a very bad virus in my pc and I am still working on that. Anyway I’ve just uploaded some cool pictures from Comic Con. They have a Revolution Village there, with some awesome stuff. Take a look at this album on facebook. I also updated the VIDEO PAGE with trailer n.4 and created a REVIEW PAGE with 3 new reviews from Comic Con.

I know there’s nothing with Elizabeth yet, but they starts shooting on Monday some we should have something soon.

REVOLUTION: Promotional Photos, Spoilers, Comic Con and Artworks

UPDATE (July 13): I’ve just updated the gallery with some photos of the promotional stuff they have at Comic Con.

At the end of this post you can see the giant poster they’ll have on the side of the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego.

Since we don’t have any promotional photo of Elizabeth at the moment because she’s just joined the show, I made something myself.
So these are not official promo shoots, but they are made by me.

(The photos of Elizabeth I used are from V & Lost Photoshoot)

I don’t know about you but I’ve been looking for new information about REVOLUTION since we got the news Elizabeth will be a regular in it. Not that I wasn’t interested before, I mean it’s JJ, I would have watched it anyway.

I read this article by Deadline (from May 23). It’s about the departure of Andrea Roth and who’s the other character who won’t be a regular anymore. (Click on “read more” to read it)

REVOLUTION: TV Line’s First Impression

Hey I’ve just read the article by Mitovich with his first impression of REVOLUTION pilot. There are also two interesting comments about Elizabeth’s role:

[…]Mitchell recently was tapped to replace Andrea Roth as Ben’s ill-fated wife (who in the pilot appears in flashback)[…]

[…] But of course the big question is how Lost fave Mitchell might amp things up in Mama Matheson’s to-be-reshot scenes — especially since, I hear, a key moment from the pilot is also being re-edited.[…]

What do you think? Might Rachel be alive?

Read also the first post about REVOLUTION for other reviews & info.

Message from Elizabeth

Hi guys, we have a message from Elizabeth. Yes, you read it correctly.

She is currently in L.A. with CJ and she wants to tell us something. 🙂

“Let them know I am grateful, as I am not the best time-manager to get around to answer all the wonderful things people have to say.”

Elizabeth wants to thank us all for our support through the years. She said she doesn’t get to thank everyone personally often, but she really appreciate us all and wants us to know how much she’s “genuinely touched” by our love and support.

This Art can be a very difficult business on many levels sometimes and she said that when she needs to remember why she does what she does and how we – the fans – see her, she turns on this site and is brightened and encouraged that the thought and care behind what she does comes through. She calls us “bright light during hard time”.

And with that we think we’re the luckiest fandom on the planet because she’s the most amazing person in this business. We know there are other nice artists out there, blah blah… and you can’t help who you love but we really believe we fell for the best one, not just the most terrific actress (that is obvious), but fairly the most incomparable person.

You know when you think “wow, she’s really the most adorable person, she couldn’t be any better, it’s humanly impossible”? Well she is always better!

She’ll move on to work on REVOLUTION soon and see what challenges that and a soon-to-be-seven-year-old bring her. But she knows, when it gets difficult, she “can always check in to the site and feel the love”.

We are still in shock for this message. It’s marvellously surreal! Give us a month or two to realize we’re not dreaming.

Ok… last thing: Peter Raffa has been so kind to sent us something really special after the KRLF event on Bainbridge Island. These are the posters Liz signed for me and Ste, I thought to share them with you.).

This is it.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

And Happy Independence Day!

Elizabeth Mitchell joins Revolution – JJ Abrams new show

elizabeth mitchell in revolution

UPDATE 4: (July 6): We added a PAGE with REVOLUTION videos. For now there’s no scene with Elizabeth obviously, so all the videos won’t be added in the media archive, but we thought they are worth the watching to know what the series is about and its style.

REVOLUTION is one of the highly anticipated shows of the season. At the end of this page we added other reviews from people who watched the pilot already (Hollywood Report included), so you can read some further details.

***

UPDATE 2/3 (July 2): The production of the series starts on July 16. REVOLUTION page has been updated and I also added some nice Elizabeth mentions at the end of this post.

UPDATE: I did some digging. So here some info:

Elizabeth joins J.J. Abrams’ new show REVOLUTION as series regular. She’ll play Rachel Matheson, the mother of the two leads, Charlie and Danny Matheson, and appear in the series in flashbacks (it looks like the character is dead in present day – watch sneak peek 3 below -). The pilot was filmed in Georgia, but they’ll shoot the series in Wilmington, NC. It is produced by Warner Bros and will premiere Monday, Sept. 17 at 10/9c on NBC but there’ll be a world premiere screening of the pilot at Comic-Con on Wednesday, July 11, or during the Revolution panel on Saturday, July 14.

Lost | TV Guide Review: Elizabeth Mitchell has shone this season

Part of “Old Info And News”

emmy-awardQuestion: I know it’s a little early for Emmy talk, but I was so horrified by Lost‘s snub last year that I can’t stop thinking about it. What do you think Lost‘s chances are at this year’s Emmys? I think Elizabeth Mitchell, Henry Ian Cusick and Michael Emerson all have a good chance, as well as the show in the drama category. Also, I heard last year’s snub was due to the producers’ submitting episodes poorer in quality, such as “Man of Science, Man of Faith,” to the nomination panel. I hope the Emmy voters correct last year’s grievous wrongdoing and nominate Lost this year. What do you think?
Answer: I think I admire your faith in the show and in Emmy voters. Frankly, I’d be shocked if the Emmys reverse course to show much if any love toward a show whose reputation took several hits this year: in the ratings and in media coverage over that ill-conceived opening “pod” of episodes. I agree that Elizabeth Mitchell in particular has shone this season, but given the richness and variety of TV drama these days, I can’t help but think Lost‘s breakthrough freshman season (when it won best drama) is going to be its sole trip to the big party. I’d love to be wrong, but I think (speaking in island terms) that ship may have sailed for good.
