411 Interview with Elizabeth

It might contains spoilers.

411’s Al Norton sits down for an exclusive interview with V star Elizabeth Mitchell to discuss tonight’s season finale, the best ways for fans to help get the show a third season, and working with Josh Holloway on Lost.
Elizabeth Mitchell first came to the public’s attention via the HBO movie Gia and her role on ER, and from then hit the bring screen The Santa Clause 2 and 3, but it was her role as Juliet on Lost that launched her to the next level, a performance that earned her an Emmy nomination during the show’s last season. She can currently be seen starring on ABC’s V, which airs its second season finale tonight at 9pm.

Al Norton: I was nervous about setting this interview up because we talked once before back in 2008 and the very next day the newspaper I was working for went out of business.

Elizabeth Mitchell: Oh no! I hope I’m not a jinx. I’m going to be good…something great is going to happen to you tomorrow, I promise.

The new golden girls of sci-fi | Review

Actresses build successful careers in television genre

Glau isn’t the only small-screen queen of sci-fi. With the likes of Elizabeth Mitchell and Moon Bloodgood by her side, these ladies have fast become the faces of the future.

Elizabeth Mitchell
Who would’ve thought that Mitchell’s character Dr. Juliet Burke would’ve been a better romantic match for Sawyer (Josh Holloway) than for Jack (Matthew Fox) on ABC’s “Lost”?

Mitchell, 40, also has a knack for making both fight and love scenes believable. That’s one of the reasons she transitioned seamlessly from “Lost” to “V,” where she can now be found playing FBI agent Erica Evans on the Alphabet network’s alien remake. “V,” which airs on Tuesdays, is currently enjoying its second season.

Mitchell, who is a wife and mother in real life, plays an alien-slaying mom on “V.”

Who are the best couples on TV? Sawyer & Juliet

Ah, Valentine’s Day – advertising has convinced us we need to celebrate love on this particular day, which most people seem to be doing by having a ‘quickie’. Oh how romantic.Love usually comes in three distinct flavours on television:The Cliche, in which the love story seems like every other love story in history and everything always works out in the end, like on The Brady Bunch. The Womaniser, in which the man goes out and beds as many women as possible, like on Two and A Half Men (Is there a female equivalent of this, by the way? “Man-ising”?!)The Utterly Ridiculous, in which the love story borders on crazy like on last week’s Go Girls, or is drawn out too long like Ross and Rachel on Friends. There are great examples of couples that qualify in all three categories so, to celebrate Valentine’s Day, here is my list of the Best TV Couples – in no particular order, of course:

Sawyer & Juliet, Lost: For a brief time during Season 5 of Lost, viewers were able to enjoy the only fully formed romance in the entirety of the show – stuck back in 1977 and forced to join the Dharma Initiative, Sawyer and Juliet posed as a couple so they could fit in more easily and eventually fell in love, which spawned a number of touching scenes between the two. Want proof this is the best couple on Lost? Name the single most emotional scene in the Season 6 finale … if you didn’t say “Sawyer and Juliet meeting by the vending machines”, then you might not have a heart and should seek medical treatment.
