Elizabeth on LA Confidential

You might consider this a spoiler, because it mentions what happened to Juliet in LOST Season 5 finale.

With Three diverse roles, Elizabeth Mitchell continues towow on wcreens both big and small.

Anyone following Elizabeth Mitchell’s career is aware of her diversity as an actress, as evidenced by the incredible array of characters she has played—from Angelina Jolie’s girlfriend in the Golden Globe winning TV movie Gia to the sexy and mysterious Dr. Juliet Burke on ABC’s hit series Lost.

So it should come as no surprise that the sultry Texan has recently tackled three very distinct roles. “I’ve chosen [to portray] a lot of women who are not particularly like me,” says Mitchell, who has a home in the Hollywood Hills. “And though they don’t have [similarities between] them, they’re all really interesting to play.” Mitchell stars as FBI agent Erica Evans in the new ABC remake of V, the popular ’80s miniseries about alien invasion (it premiered last year and returns in March). Mitchell’s character also appears in the sixth and final season of Lost—premiering this month—even though producers confirmed Juliet died in last season’s finale. And as if conquering the small screen weren’t enough, Mitchell stars opposite Dane Cook in the indie drama Answers to Nothing, due out later this year.

Though Mitchell is a homebody at heart, her intense work schedule has her jetting between sets in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Hawaii. “I get off the plane and work, get off the plane and work,” she laughs. “But I can’t complain—it’s wonderful!”

LOST: LA X 6×01 & 6×02 Press Release

Friday, January 15, 2010 – LOST: LAX – SEASON PREMIERE | Press Release

THE AFTERMATH FROM JULIET’S DETONATION OF THE HYDROGEN BOMB IS REVEALED, ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF ABC’S “LOST”

A 2008 recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award and awarded the 2005 Emmy and 2006 Golden Globe for Best Drama Series, “Lost” returns for its final season of action-packed mystery and adventure – that will continue to bring out the very best and the very worst in the people who are lost – on the season premiere of “Lost,” TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

Oceanic Air flight 815 tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island, leaving 48 passengers alive and stranded on a remote island in the South Pacific. The survivors include a diverse group of people from different walks of life – a doctor, an escaped fugitive, a con man, an Iraqi interrogator, a married Korean couple and a man formerly confined to a wheelchair who is now inexplicably healed. As the castaways attempt to get home, flashbacks (and forwards) illuminate their troubled lives before and after the crash, when the island they find themselves stranded on begins to slowly reveal its mysterious nature. Faith, reason, destiny and free will all clash as the island offers opportunities for both corruption and redemption… but as to its true purpose? That’s the greatest mystery of all.

With only 18 original hours left until the final episode airs, the island’s violent shifts through time were ended by Locke when he traveled off-island in an attempt to persuade the Oceanic 6 to return. Back on the island, the survivors’ stay in late ‘70s Dharmaville was over when their covers were blown and they were accused of aiding “The Others,” and Sayid was gravely wounded during their flight. In addition, Ben killed Jacob at Locke’s request. But since Locke’s body was found to still be inside the coffin, exactly who – or what – is John Locke? And if Juliet was successful in detonating the hydrogen bomb, was she able to reset time, allowing Oceanic Air 815 to land safely in Los Angeles, or was the island destroyed along with all of its inhabitants?

On the season premiere episode, “LA X” Parts 1 & 2, the aftermath from Juliet’s detonation of the hydrogen bomb is revealed.

“Lost” stars Naveen Andrews as Sayid, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Emilie de Ravin as Claire, Michael Emerson as Ben, Jeff Fahey as Frank Lapidus, Matthew Fox as Jack, Jorge Garcia as Hurley, Josh Holloway as Sawyer, Daniel Dae Kim as Jin, Yunjin Kim as Sun, Ken Leung as Miles, Evangeline Lilly as Kate, Terry O’Quinn as Locke and Zuleikha Robinson as Ilana.

“LA X” Parts 1 & 2 written by Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse and directed by Jack Bender.

LOST | Damond Lindelof about Elizabeth

This was said during LOST’s TCA on Jan 12.

Lindelof about Elizabeth Mitchell: “She has been amazing with executing our vision of the show. That was something we presented to her when we told her, Hey, you’re falling into a hole and sustaining some rather significant injuries, and we have some plans for you in the next season that will allow you to go and do another show, but we hope you will continue and stay with us for a little bit. And she was awesome.”

Latest from Kristin about Juliet 4th Jan. | Update

There’re some spoilers from E! Online about Juliet on Lost. I wrote in bold what Darkufo thinks.

Do you ever get that feeling in the pit of your stomach that’s basically a red alarm warning you not to do something?

Well, that’s precisely the feeling I’m (stupidly?) ignoring right now as I cave in and give you highly vocal “Skaters,” “Jaters” and “Sulieters” what you’ve been asking–no, begging–for since our 12 Days of Lost-mas began: Some sort of info as to where Lost’s romantic storylines may be heading in the upcoming season.

So why is the red alarm going off? ‘Cause this is highly volatile subject matter, people!

But you asked, so here we go. Don’t shoot the messenger…

Six of these things are true:

Juliet survives the bomb. TRUE
Juliet does not survive the bomb. TRUE
Kate and Sawyer flirt. TRUE – Alt
Kate and Sawyer kiss. FALSE
Juliet and Sawyer kiss. TRUE
Jack and Sayid touch lips. TRUE – On Island

There is a scene with Sawyer in the season premiere that will make you cry buckets–assuming you aren’t a robot–and (possibly?) make you Skaters happy. TRUE – Juliet Dying

Which one is false?

Interview with Josh Holloway about Suliet

More recently, he objected to his character’s content life with Juliet, which turned Sawyer into somewhat of a softie. “I rejected it when I first got the scripts. I was like, ‘C’mon, he’s a nice guy now? Head of security? What bulls–t.’ It was scary for me. I didn’t want to lose his edge.”

Holloway needn’t worry. Come February, he—and fans—can expect a reemergence of the sorely missed badass Sawyer. But not before tying up the Juliet story line. Mitchell, who’s moved on to star in V, recently returned to Hawaii to shoot some top-secret scenes.
