Are you ready for the treat we promised?
After years of searching and buying from people who never sent us anything, we finally got the episodes of Loving with Elizabeth. We don’t have them all. There’s something missing (episodes from January 17 to February 26), so we’ll keep trying to get them, but we have the other months.
We wanted to see this project so badly since it’s one of the first things she has ever done and it is impossible to get the plays, obviously.
We are so excited. We haven’t watched them all yet because we’ve just got the episodes, but we can say that she was so good even if this is one of her early works. Well after all those years of training in theatre is not really a surprise… and her talent is innate!
Gosh… Liz, you’re so cute and little! <3
For those of you who are interested in understanding the story, we thought to write here what we know about her character before Elizabeth’s first scene.
Dinah Lee started a romance with Trucker, after her divorce from Curtis who went insane and started sending Trucker fake signs that Trisha (his wife) was still alive. Thinking he was still in love with his wife, Dinah Lee left town without telling him she was pregnant (she only confessed that to Ava, her best friend).
After learning Dinah Lee was carrying Trucker’s baby, Buck (Trucker’s brother) flew the Alden (Trisha’s family) jet to New York City and convinced Dinah Lee to return to Corinth. Curtis, who tampered with Buck’s plane, was stunned to learn that Buck got the plane into the air, but let him take the blame when the jet crashed. A woman (Janie) died while Dinah Lee lost her baby and got a brain embolus which caused memory and speech problems. Trucker was stunned when Buck blurted out at the hospital that Dinah Lee was pregnant.
In the first episode with Liz, Trucker is looking for her since she run off the hospital.
This is the first scene with Elizabeth:
In this video with Dinah Lee and Trucker, there’re also Buck and Stacey.
These quotes are from interviews with Liz… we thought it could be interesting for you as well reading her thoughts during that time. It was for us!
“My first day was interesting. It was a small scene with Robert (Tyler, Trucker) in the video store. He had seen my screen test, so I didn’t feel like I had to prove anything. Anyway, at the end of that scene, he picks me up and carries me out – but as he carried me out we ran into a wall… I burst out laughing”
“Her injuries are problematic for a long time. The brain embolus has created all kinds of memory problems and speech problems, and basically she’s regressed… she’s very childlike. There’s an innocence there that I think is interesting to play, and now that she is beginning to speak a little better, the part is getting interesting.”
We’re still cutting the clips with Liz and raising the audio because it’s very low in the DVDs we got, so we’ll try to do this work as fast as we can!
